Reads locally, in your browser. Title, author, dates and page count come from the summary embedded in each file, as the sample above shows. A file with no summary falls back to its filesystem date, and the row says which one it used.

One rule, yours to overrule. The suggestion comes from the last-saved date alone (the key under the table). Age says nothing about how much a file matters, so every suggestion is a select you can change, and an unreadable file is flagged for review rather than guessed.

A CSV you can hand off. Path, title, author, pages, dates, suggestion and note, with your changes in it. Open it in Excel or Sheets, split the work with a volunteer, and check files off as you convert them.

What actually happens on October 1, 2026?
Microsoft 365 stops supporting Publisher: it stops being included, and Microsoft's guidance is to export your files before then, one file at a time, by hand. Perpetual (one-time-purchase) Publisher installations keep running but are unsupported. Either way, the safe move is the same: know what you have and get the important ones converted while it's easy.
Can this tool convert my files to PDF?
Not in the browser. .pub is a proprietary format that only Publisher itself renders perfectly, which is why our paid kit works by driving YOUR still-installed Publisher to do the converting, for the same faithful output Publisher itself prints. The free inventory tells you which files are worth converting at all.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser: the files are read on your computer and never sent anywhere. We couldn't see them if we wanted to, and we don't want to.
What about after the deadline?
Your .pub files still exist and LibreOffice Draw can open many of them for free (import-only, and imperfectly: layouts can shift); the paid kit includes an honest walkthrough. But conversions made by real Publisher before support ends will always be the faithful ones, which is why the inventory matters now.
